What is your unique perspective on a topic  that you dislike?

A topic that effects me deeply includes child deprivation within countries. Some children suffer horrendously. Children within India are made homeless from the youngest of age and suffer all kinds of abuse. People walk past children without such as a glance due to the rate of deprivation. Life should be supported and sustained in order to produce a world full of people who are enabled do their best in the life that they have and equipped to make a difference. It is a good thing that there are many charities that support children who are in need.

  1. Sugata Mitra's talk flows well and is clear regarding evidence and facts that are brought forward. It is amazing to see how access to a computer can impact immensely on the lives of children even if it is simply one computer shared among a group of children. Children have a natural desire to learn however as mentioned by Sugata Mitra childrens surroundings can effect output.. It is for this reason that the Foundaton Phase incorporates role-play whereby teachers do not intervene in the play unless there is good reason. Children who attend Montessori Schools also learn through exploration within the area of play. Education provided by a teacher is paramount because as Sugata Mitra shows, children enjoy sharing what they have learnt and what they know with other children out of the learning environment. A more able peer or an adult can teach others new skills and therefore education is inevitable within cultures however what is taught depends on the values of that culture. In order for children to progress provision needs to be given and the interned offers an endless supply of resources however it is hard to obtain technology within the poorest of areas within the UK.
